TRAMA

Life Patito begins when mistakenly goes for a swan egg at a duck farm, and at birth the differences between their "brothers" is obvious, because the swan is disproportionate in size in comparison to the graceful ducks, with very strong, loud and annoying a croak. Also on the farm all make fun of him, being the laughingstock of the other animals that live there. When he tries to share with his "brothers" reject these, mistreat, which run their company and will broach how ugly it is, even Mum duck, offends and has repudiated although "the ugly duckling" wants be gentle with her "mom." The life of Little Swan is miserable sad and very unfortunate.

One day, being in the pond crying her eyes out, a reflection of his image in the water further distorts your figure and your "ugliness", so their crying is sad. At that time, a swan mom who walks around with their young and mourn inconsolably hears the little swan, approaches and is filled with tenderness and invites you to join their young, the "ugly duckling" to see their new brothers realize that it is not a duck as he believed, if not a bird one day become a beautiful and graceful swan.

Then the swan was the "ugly duckling" was sent with his new family before the incredulous eyes of the family of ducks that had rejected and abused and the farm animals that had mocked him, but not before greeting their "mother" again. With his new family, will lead a happy life.

This story, with its funny parody of the human self, is considered a metaphor for the experience of the awkward stage in the growth of an infant. As a fairy tale, is used to make children feel less embarrassed about their differences. The moral of the story is hidden in the story: No matter who is born in the barnyard ducks, if one out of a goose egg. A real life example would be a boy or a girl to act differently from other children around him or her. The fairy tale brings hope that these differences will result in special benefits and a bright future:

"Then ruffled his wings, lifted the slender neck and was glad from the bottom of his heart, never dreamed that there could be such happiness, back in the days when it was just an ugly duckling."

The ugly duckling has become a metaphor used for anything at first was not taken into account but then it becomes popular or better. For example: "It's amazing to be the best student! Before only got low ratings, it was the ugly duckling of the class. "
